January is the darkest month of the year in the northern hemisphere, and even though we might feel that life has disappeared, there are still signs to be seen if we look carefully enough. This challenge is about seeking out the signs of life that tell us that spring will come again soon, and painting them to bring a little warmth and light to our days.
This month’s prompt sheet contains ideas designed to help you to create four compositions which will depict January as we go through the month week by week, so if you choose to you can combine all of the elements from each week into one painting. Alternatively you can use the prompts for a daily painting in the traditional way.
