Day 1 of February Daily Challenge #lettherebelove Lovebirds in Leaves

Day 2 - February Daily Challenge - Let There Be Love Today’s prompt is “Love Trees.” I have made a “short” to show you how I painted it (it’s only one minute long! But you can take as long as you like over it, obviously!) So for Day 2 we have a watercolor drawing of a tree in all different shades of green, with heart shapes to represent the leaves. You’ll love doing this one, it’s great fun and not only easy but also will lead you into much exploration and invention if you let it! You could try doodling on top of the leaves, or doing them in multicolors, or drawing it first then coloring it in or vice versa - make it yours! Day 3 - - February Daily Challenge - Let There Be Love - Heart Mandala Today I’m painting a very simple and loose mandala with a heart at the centre, and hearts around the circle combined with leaves to make a pretty design. I did it quickly because time is short, but this would be a very nice I project for a Valentine’s Day card if you take more time over it. You can use cups or other round objects to draw round or use a pair of compasses to set up a more accurate concentric arrangement. Day 4 - February Daily Challenge - Let there be love - Butterfly Kiss I think I will do a full video for this design soon, but for now this is a short of just one minute, condensed down from 10 minutes of speed-painting, just to give you a hint of it. I‘m sure that you will be inspired to make it yours! Butterflies are one of the most popular subjects for watercolor painting and it‘s not hard to see why! Day 5 - February Daily Challenge - Let there be love - Heart Abstraction Really simple little playtime painting today which can be adapted in so many ways! Just get those brushes wet and enjoy putting paint on paper! I used my set of Kuretake paints but any paints are fine for this. Today we have Cupid’s Arrow striking where it hurts! For this one I used a vintage set of paints dating from 1986, from George Rowney of England. Only one of these colors no longer works - the Yellow Ochre - so no need to worry about your paints durability! .
