The lavender in our garden is in full flower at the moment and looking lovely. So here is a very quick idea for a couple of lavender themed bookmarks that you might like to add to your repertoire. It’s easy to give them your own personal twist by varying the colors and the supporting cast – why not add birds, leaves and other embellishments as the background to the lavender itself!
Materials
Here are some links to my materials.
For these bookmarks I used 140lb cold pressed watercolor paper (mine was Meeden ) and the pen was a Tombow Fudenosuke brush pen. I like these pens because they have a nib that can produce both thick and thin lines with ease. My paints were Meeden also and they are ideal for this little project, with a couple of good shades of lavender in the set. I also used a reel of washi tape to mark off my borders.
And there’s nothing like a touch of gold to set things off and make them special. Try these pens – the gold will never let you down!
