But for me, lacking confidence was the biggest barrier to finding that calm. Then one day I realised that creating whimsical birds, cats and other subjects was easier and more fun, and my confidence soared. Birds painted my way are easy, undemanding and forgiving, and don’t need any skill whatever. Many people have found them to be an ideal introduction to watercolor and I agree.
