Craftamo Brush Set - Now available from stock

The last few brush sets are now available for ordering from the Craftamo website.
This Artist Brush Collaboration delivers a set of six of my most loved brush shapes & sizes, beautifully presented within a beautiful Diane Antone original watercolour gift box which also contains a lovely frameable print of my pink poppy painting which is on the box lid.
The price of the set of 6 brushes is $54.95 plus shipping.
Craftamo's 100% cruelty-free brush hair provides the perfect amount of control & water absorption that I expect from my brushes. Combining this with gold ferrules and rich green, gold-tipped handles has resulted in a stunningly unique brush set which delivers exceptional performance across many styles of watercolour painting.

To Inspire You...

Limerick of the Week!
With my friend Art Intelligence I have written this little rhyme to celebrate us women who paint. Art also painted us a nice picture depicting how we look when we are throwing paint around nice and loose!

The Woman Who Painted with ART

There once was a woman who painted,
In watercolor so loose and so free.
With each stroke colors swirled,
In a whimsical world,
And her art danced like waves by the sea!

Join January's Daily Watercolor Challenge

#lightoutofdarkness

On January 1 our new year’s challenge started, but there’s no reason not to join in any time. You don’t “have” to do all the paintings, but the idea is to give you some inspiration to get the brushes wet! It’s called Light out of Darkness and all the prompts are about ways to paint light and dark and create luminous paintings.

If you are a YouTube or Patreon member you will find the challenge prompt sheet in the Facebook Private Members Group under FILES. Patreon Members will also find it in their Patreon feed, and YouTube Members will find it in their Members Community tab.

To share your paintings and receive emails and videos with guidance on how to paint the prompts it’s a good idea to join the Diane Antone Studio members group on Facebook. To be a member of this you need to either belong to our Patreon or be a YouTube member. You’ll then receive a code so you can apply to join the private facebook group. It’s a friendly and supportive group with no trolls where you can safely share and view others’ paintings which is very encouraging and incentivising.

If you aren’t a member this is a good time to join as either a YouTube or Patreon member - why not make it your NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION to support your favorite art channel on YouTube!

For non-members, you'll find the prompt sheet on our website to download for free at the end of the month.

Product of the Week

Here’s something I got for Christmas. It’s a little jar of gold powder. You just mix it with a tiny bit of water, a little at a time and you get a fantastically bright golden paint. I had my doubts about it but having tried it I recommend it if you love to paint in gold, and it can be used for calligraphy too.

Have you seen our most recent long video?

(And did you know there's a sketch bundle to go with it?)

It's 3 hours of fun and easy watercolor birds and animals, and we've gathered together the sketches for every tutorial in a handy Sketch Bundle.
