Hi Insiders!

It's been a while since we sent a newsletter. We're grateful you're still here, and as a thank you we'd like to give you 50% off all of our coloring books today and tomorrow. Use the code IMSTILLHERE to claim your discount!
This month we are excited to announce the launch of our Diane Antone x Meeden watercolor painting set! It's available now from Meeden's US, and EU sites, and for pre-order on their UK and Australian sites. Scroll down for full details.
With Amazon's Big Spring Sale in full swing, we have a couple of limited time offers that are too good to miss - if you happen to live in the US.
April's Daily Challenge will be called Gardens in Bloom, and the prompt sheets are now available to members on Patreon and YouTube, and in our members only Facebook group.
Keep reading for a handy summary of the most popular content we've posted this month on YouTube, Patreon and our blog, in case you've missed anything.
And lastly, since we've had a couple of hundred people sign up for the Studio Insiders Pass over the last few weeks, we've included instructions and a bit of troubleshooting help to make sure getting your free sketches is easy.
So let's dive in!

Introducing the

Diane Antone x Meeden

Premium Watercolor Painting Set

We are proud to let you know that our collaboration with Meeden is finally available, and we hope that you will agree that this is more than just another painting set.
We've carefully designed it to include everything a beginner needs to get started in watercolor the Diane Antone Studio way - even including a FREE month of our top tier on Patreon!
We had absolute beginners in mind as we decided on the contents, and our goal was to create a complete kit which would help the owner of each box to experience success from the first brushstroke.
Here's a bit of information about what's included, and why:
  • The 48 vibrant and intense pans of paint are stored in an innovative and high quality palette, which is designed to make it easy to customise the layout and use a limited palette of six colors at a time.
  • As well as the usual swatch card, each pan also has a sticker with a swatch and the color's name, so you'll never be confused about which color is which if you choose to reorganise the palette.
  • The small brush which is included inside the paint set has been boosted by the addition of three professional quill brushes, sizes 2, 4 and 6. After all, beginners need big brushes too! And if you later want to expand your range, you can buy Meeden's set of four (sizes 1, 3, 5, 7) without doubling up on any sizes.
  • The cute concertina Brilliant Birds coloring book gives you a way of trying out your new paints straight away, without first having to decide what to paint. Each design also has a short tutorial on YouTube to inspire you. The high quality watercolor paper can be painted on both sides.
  • The four page folded insert includes:
    • my most important tips for beginners,
    • a list of supplementary materials you might want to explore, with a 15% discount code,
    • useful links to our 1500+ tutorials, 300+ traceable sketches, Facebook group and Patreon community,
    • PLUS a month's FREE membership of our top tier Patreon membership!
Here are links to the set on all four of Meeden's websites. Use your nearest shop for the best shipping times.

A little something for those of you in the US...

Kuretake Gansai Tambi paints have been literally life-changing for me. They wake up at the touch of a brush. They are vivid and don't die back when dry as much as many watercolors do. They are forgiving of mistakes and semi-opaque when used thickly - but transparent and excellent mixers when used more dilute, which makes them excellent for everything from the serious to the playful. And perhaps the best thing of all is that their colors have been carefully designed to work well together so you can mix and match without worrying too much about making muddy messes.
Prices have gone up sharply recently, but right now the 48 set is in Amazon's Big Spring sale with 31% off, making it just over a dollar a pan. If you've been thinking about investing in a set, now's a great time to go for it!
Another favorite product of mine is Meeden's set of synthetic Kolinsky sable professional quill brushes.
These excellent value and excellent quality brushes are always available to our viewers direct from Meeden with 15% off, but right now they have both the full set of 9 and the smaller set of 4 (the sizes of which dovetail perfectly with the three in our Diane Antone x Meeden kit!) on Amazon US with a 33% discount.

Paint Your Quiet Home The May Prize Winner Challenge - 2026 This May, Diane Antone Studio is thrilled to announce our latest community event: the "Paint Your Quiet Home" Daily Challenge. If you’re like me, a quiet home is a wonderful blessing and it deserves to be celebrated - which is what we're inviting you to do in this month’s …

Why We’re Saying Goodbye to the "Everything Store"

For years, this community has grown through a shared love of watercolor painting. One of the ways I’ve been able to keep our channel and website running and keep the tutorials free is through affiliate links with Amazon. You click a link, you buy a product, and the retailer sends a small "thank you" commission my way at no extra …
Why We’re Saying Goodbye to the "Everything Store"

Free sketches, anyone?

If you've visited our website, hopefully you've noticed that we have a library of high quality sketches ready for instant download, all of which have a free realtime tutorial on YouTube.
Every sketch is available to buy individually for a minimum of $1 (or you can choose to pay a higher price if you'd like to support our work).
But we have also created what we call the Studio Insiders Pass. The pass costs $5 (Patrons and YouTube members get it for free), and with it you can have 10 free sketches every month. For ever. No catches, no hidden charges, just free access to our sketch library to help you create.
But how do you use it, once you've got it? Here's what you need to know!

How to Use the

Studio Insiders Pass

Once you've bought the pass, new website features will automatically be activated.

Here's how you use your new Studio Insiders Pass to download a sketch:

Step 1

Make sure you’re logged in

Click the head and shoulders icon at the top of the page.
If you're logged in it will take you to your account details.
If you're not logged in it will prompt you to log in.

Step 2

Find the sketch you want

There are lots of ways of getting to the sketches. You can click a link in a video description, you can browse the sketch library, or you can use the website search tool, but once you've found it DO NOT put it in the basket.

Step 3

Click to download

All you have to do is click the coloured button!

Having Trouble Making it Work?

We've put answers to the two most common questions below, but if you have any questions or problems we haven't answered please send us a message using our contact form.

Q. I don't see the button. What do I do?

A. If you don’t see the coloured rectangle, either you’re not logged in, or you're logged in to the wrong account, or you haven’t bought the Studio Insiders Pass, or you’ve used up all of your credits for this month.

Q. I've clicked the button. Nothing happened.

A. When you click on the coloured button, your sketch will be automatically be downloaded to your device and one credit will be deducted from your balance. Some devices will open the sketch automatically, but others will (rather unhelpfully!) just save it to files or to a downloads folder without showing you the file. If you aren't familiar with where downloads go on your device this can be pretty frustrating, but there's usually some indication of what's happening somewhere on your screen. You might see a popup banner or bar at the top or bottom of the page. Or you might see an animated icon flash or change color to indicate what you click on to open your downloads folder. Keep your eyes open for these popups and icons! If you're really stuck, try Googling "where do downloads go on a ___" or "how do I find downloads on a ___".
That's it for this month. Thanks for reading, and we hope you enjoyed this edition of the Insiders' Newsletter.
See you next time!
