Beating SAD...
|
...by Painting Calm
|

You might remember that last summer I did a video which featured a book called Painting Calm by Inga Buividavice. Using her for inspiration in that video we painted leaves and cactuses on a shelf and it was a lot of fun.

This time of year in the northern hemisphere we need ways to beat the SAD tendencies so many of us experience due to the lack of sunshine and perpetual rain and wind, and what could be better than some fun and funky cacti?
|

Somehow cacti and succulents are just the best plants - they are undaunted by ignorance, neglect and lack of heat and survive the blackest of green thumbs (mine!) even when abandoned to the repurposed fish tank (and spasmodically forgotten to water…)
