Hi Insiders!

Our Special Edition Tier on Patreon will be closing to new members at the end of this month.

Exclusive Content, a Price Lock...

When Diane Antone Studio reached 150,000 subscribers on YouTube in July we decided to celebrate by launching a Special Edition tier on Patreon, which offered MORE perks for the same price AND a lifetime price lock.

The Special Edition tier is now by far the most popular of our tiers on Patreon!

We would now like to invite everyone who is not yet a member of the Special Edition tier to join by September 30th.

From October 1st, your tier will become exclusive and no further members will be able to join. A new tier will be launched with the same perks but at a higher price and without the price lock.

...and a Free Gift!

Everyone who has joined our 150K Special Edition Tier on Patreon when it closes at the end of the month will automatically receive a surprise gift! That includes everyone who's already a member, and everyone who joins between now and September 30th.

Most Popular on YouTube

In last Thursday's YouTube video I had a lot of fun creating beautiful 9-color palettes from garden flowers.

It was a bit of a revelation for me, the idea of admiring a flower, immersing myself in color, and not trying to paint anyTHING.

If you haven't seen this video yet, click to view it on YouTube. It's such a fun idea!
One of the key inspirations for this idea came from a book called "Color in and out of the Garden" by Lorene Edwards Forkner. It's a beautifully photographed book - eye candy for the artist, as someone commented a couple of days ago!
Creating the 3x3 grids of color is very relaxing and rewarding in itself, but it's when you're ready to take the idea further and use the color palette you've created in a painting that the true magic happens.

Latest Patreon Exclusive

And that's where this month's Patreon Exclusive tutorial comes in!

I show you step by step how to take a color palette you've already made (I used my fuchsia palette), select some colors from it, perhaps adapt it slightly, and then use it to create an effortlessly coordinated creation!

Separating the steps of color selection and painting like this is SO helpful. It might take a bit of getting used to, but if this technique clicks for you and if you practise until it starts to feel natural, you're sure to feel the tension and creative blocks disappearing!

To Inspire You...

This week's inspiration comes from a mole. Specifically, the mole in Charlie Mackesy's book "The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse". If you haven't come across this book before, I highly recommend it for anyone who needs their spirits lifted.

"Sometimes I worry you'll all realise I'm ordinary." said the boy.

"Love doesn't need you to be extraordinary." said the mole.

Thanks for reading, and we hope you enjoyed this edition of the Insiders' Newsletter.
See you next time!
