At 'From the Garden' we share videos of the plants and animals on and around our smallholding in Brittany.
|
|
|
Our goal is share the ups and downs of the little piece of the world we live on, as we work hard to improve the biodiversity, grow healthy food, and surround ourselves with life in as many forms as possible.
|
|
|
We've had such wonderful and encouraging feedback from everyone who's watched and commented on the videos we've posted there so far. And now we're determined to post more regularly and start to grow the channel so that we can reach as many people as possible.

|
|
We've decided to aim to get the channel monetised. Not only will this help us to devote time to the channel, but also - monetised channels get more views!

I'm sure you've heard it a hundred times, but it's absolutely true that watching videos all the way through, liking them, sharing them, commenting on them, subscribing, and then going on to watch another video on the same channel... all of these things help a channel to grow. In fact, in 2024 these are the pretty much the ONLY things that matter! It's all of us as viewers, not content creators, who drive what's seen on YouTube.

In fact a bit of effort really can affect what we see in our feeds, and by extension what people like us, with similar interests, are shown, and which new channels grow and thrive. (This video from last summer touches on the idea of teaching the YouTube algorithm to behave nicely!)

|
